Kaleidoscope
Kaleidoscope is a magical art studio where children can be creative and feel good about their own special ideas. Creating with bows, cardboard, jazzy junk, making puzzles and painting with melted crayons are just a few of the fun things to do. Independent art sessions for children ages 5-12 and family art Sessions for children of all ages! Kaleidoscope is free as a public service by Hallmark. Call for session times.

Gatsby Days
Gatsby Days in Historic Downtown Excelsior Springs along the whole street of Broadway throughout Downtown will be having our fun event from April 25-26. This two-day event will include a youth vaudeville show, children’s art show, street artists, and entertainment, original poetry reading, Best of Missouri Art Show and more. Sponsored by the Excelsior Springs Cultural Guild.

SkyZone Indoor Trampoline Park
Sky Zone is the original indoor trampoline park, and Sky Zone Kansas City is proud to bring the unmatched, out-of-this-world, and high-flyin’ FUN of the world’s first all-trampoline, walled playing court to the Kansas City metro area!

Festa Italiana
One of Kansas City’s favorite festivals, Festa Italiana, the unique celebration of Italian traditions and Italian-American culture, will be hosted once again at Zona Rosa! This long-time, local ethnic festival draws visitors from across Metropolitan Kansas City and beyond. This popular family event has FREE admission and showcases Italian food booths, a beer garden, vendors, live Italian music, dancers, a kids play area and much more!

Mother’s Day at the Zoo
What better way to celebrate Mom than with a relaxing day at the Kansas City Zoo. Moms will receive FREE admission on Monther’s Day, Sunday May 11. The treats don’t stop there! Moms will get a voucher for a free sweet treat redeemable at any Zoo concession stand. Enjoy a wild time at the Zoo with your wild ones!

Old Shawnee Days
Each year Old Shawnee Days marks the start of summer for thousands of families who come and enjoy this amazing weekend long celebration. As well as providing a unique insight into the past, Old Shawnee Days offers a whole array of free weekend-long entertainment your entire family can enjoy. Music all weekend features both nationally known recording artists and great local bands, entertainment for both adults and kids, crafts and vendors, the carnival and parade, games and contests, and much more. With something everyone in the family can enjoy, and with free admission to all concerts and events wtih the exception of the carnival rides and games this is one weekend you don’t want to miss!

Bonsai Society of Greater Kansas City’s Spring Exhibit at Powell Gardens
The Bonsai Society of Greater Kansas City brings its spring exhibit to Powell Gardens, giving visitors an opportunity to learn about this fascinating ancient art form. See a variety of stunning trees and talk with growers from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on May 10 and 11.

British Invasion
British Invasion reproduces the sounds of the Beatles, Dave Clark Five, Gerry & the Pacemakers, the Rolling Stones and many of the other British bands that flooded the US airwaves starting in 1964. The foursome includes acoustic and electric guitars, bass and keyboards as well as strong lead vocals and harmonies. Feel free to sing along because you know and love all of these tunes!
