Hello, my name is Nancy Leonard, I attended Saint Louis Tres Dias #19 where I sat at the table of Esther. I worship and serve at Nexus Church in Lenexa, KS. I am honored to serve as your women’s Rector for Kansas City Tres Dias #16. I take this honor very seriously because this is my second time being a Rector in this community. To be called again, I know that Lord has something big in store for the Spiritual Directors, team, candidates and me, on this weekend. I am so excited to see how this unfolds and how He is going to stretch us.
This weekend theme, Courageous, was given to me by my friend that stepped down from rectorship. Upon praying for direction as if I should step in an accept this mantel again, the Lord made it clear to me that he did not want me to change the theme of “Courageous” but for me to execute this weekend with excellence and help the team and candidates to live bold and courageous with their walk with Christ. My song is The Way, by Pat Barrett. I was worshipping one Sunday morning and we were singing this song, and I heard the Lord quietly whisper, this is your weekend song. I got my pencil and wrote it down immediately for I did not want to forget the song. What I have learned the second time around is the Lord is depositing weekend nuggets of information to me at warp speed—I sure don’t want to miss any details he is giving to me and I need to be ready at all times.
The second song is, God’s Not Dead by Newsboys. One more reminder that we worship a living God! Our symbols are sunflowers, angels, swords and the colors are Yellow, Orange, and Purple. When I look at the sunflowers they tell a beautiful story—they remind us to always be strong, brave, bold and to live courageously and not to waiver in rough seasons. The sunflower’s head is always facing the sun, and we should always keep our eyes focused on God. God is the way, the truth, and the life. He is our Provider, Protector, in every battle that we face and He will be with us wherever we go.
I am so excited for this upcoming weekend. We are going to have Sunflower Faith, not going to be afraid of “ Letting GO “ of the past, and be willing and open to experience God’s Love at a whole new level. We are going to shine our light bright on these new candidates. Ladies let’s hear your ROAR on this weekend! Please come join me if you are not already signed up! There is a spot waiting for you this weekend.
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Declores,
Nancy Leonard, Rector KCTD #16
