We are excited that you are interested in serving as a member of the KCTD Board. Here are a few things to consider before running for office:

  1. We have monthly meetings. We meet once a month at 6:30 on Friday in Shawnee. We strongly encourage that you attend.
  2. Please read the job description in its entirety before you consider running.
  3. Treasurer, Vice President and President-Elect are voted positions, but our other openings are Palanca Chair and Women’s Pre-Weekend Chair do not require an election. Simply apply and after a Board vote (not a community vote) – you are approved.

Elected Positions

Treasurer – The treasurer shall receive and disburse the funds of this organization. The treasurer shall also present a monthly statement and an annual report for review of the Secretariat.

Vice President – The Vice President shall chair meetings in the absence of the President and shall perform duties assigned to him/her by the President or Secretariat.

President-Elect – Assist the President in overseeing all activities of the chapter.

Appointed Positions

Pre-Weekend Committee – shall be responsible for establishing the criteria for accepting candidates, preparing application forms, reviewing, accepting and notifying candidates, and planning on-going programs for candidate orientation.

Palanca Chair – shall be responsible for printing wall palanca letters for the weekend and sending KCTD palanca letters to other Tres Dias and 4th day Communities.
