Dear Kansas City Tres Dias Community,

Fire is associated with the Holy Spirit. When Jesus’s disciples were praying in the Upper Room in Jerusalem after Jesus’s ascension, they received the gift of the Holy Spirit that looked like tongues of fire over their heads. This “fire” rested on them, and it transformed their lives forever. They went from being a weak and fearful group of people cowering in a back room, to standing up and speaking boldly to the international crowd at Pentecost.

Hebrews 12:28-29 “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.” 

On March 15th – 18th, 2018, Kansas City Tres Dias will sponsor KCTD Men’s Weekend #13. The Theme for the Weekend is “SOUL ON FIRE!” It will be a Holy Spirit filled weekend and we expect to have 42 or more men candidates to attend for their first time.

John the Baptist said this, when he was asked about the earthly and heavenly appearance of our Savior Jesus Christ:

“As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He (Jesus) who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and Fire. “His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”     Matthew 3:11-12

My name is Norman Gustafson and I attended Kansas City Tres Dias #2 during November of 2012. I am married to the love of my life, Stephanie, who has also served on most of the KCTD Women’s Weekends since 2012. Stephanie and I recently celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary. Our incredible daughter, Janae, is 15 years old and she is a sophomore at Gardner-Edgerton High School. Stephanie and I are very involved with Janae’s activities with Special Olympics Cheerleading, Basketball, Bocce ball, and her favorite, Swimming! Our passion as a family is our time together, while attending church, community events, or a friend’s activities. Since, we have attended Antioch Church for the past 17 years, we serve and are involved in Life Groups, the Marriage Ministry, and the Welcoming Committee. Janae is on the unofficial “Hugging” Committee. I am honored to serve as the Rector for KCTD Men’s Weekend #13!

I pray that many of you will consider serving on the upcoming weekend in March. We will need more volunteers for many different opportunities to serve. This weekend is already being covered in prayer by our incredible Prayer Team and I am asking for even more prayer from every person available. There cannot be too much prayer!! All hands on deck!!!! We expect to experience blessings, healings, and miracles from now until beyond next spring’s Secuela!

My prayer for everyone is that you are forever changed by the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT through the POWER of JESUS. You are a child of the one true KING JESUS and a Mighty Man of GOD! Go forth and be a FISHERMAN for

GOD ALMIGHTY, your Creator and Spiritual FATHER.  A Tres Dias brother said this about being a fisherman for Christ, “Everyone wants to fish, but nobody wants to clean the fish.” I believe that it is our anointed duty as a Tres Dias Community to help “clean the fish!” Invite everyone that you know to attend for the first time or serve their “Fourth Day”.
